Speaking engagements

Melissa has presented workshops and speaking engagements throughout Australia and internationally over the past two decades. 

As a fourth generation photographer she has a wide knowledge base and she holds formal qualifications in photography, speaking, business, management and teaching.  Melissa has experience in speaking with a wide range of audiences and networks including; youth, education and university engagements, photographic industry and training, business networks, women's groups and art networks.

Over the past two decades she has volunteered her time through various industry bodies including AIPP, ACMP, Fier, both locally, nationally and internationally. This has included various national board roles, state roles, and various projects and portfolios. Melissa is a well respected photographic judge, exhibiting artist, and trainer.  She is passionate about photography and education, and enjoys giving back through the medium that she loves.

Education

Silver & Salt is the creative initiative of Melissa Anderson. It is a passionate hands on, photographic education centre based in Capalaba, on Brisbane's south side.

At Silver & Salt we believe in inspiring creativity through enjoyable education. Our lecturers are highly experienced photographic trainers and awarded photographers with industry experience, and we cater for all levels of photographers.

Our courses and workshops range from basic photography and get to know your camera courses, through to specialty workshops.

All instructors have significant industry experience, specialist skills and relevant fields of expertise.
